It consists of copper or aluminum conductor; inner shielding layer, weather-proof insulation material and outer shielding layer. It not only has power transmitting character of power cable, but also has a strong mechanical character of aerial cable, as well. In comparasion with bare cable, it boasts many advantages, such as, small span in laying the initiative to choose to use.

2. Working conditions of aerial insulation power cable:
1) Rated voltage: 1KV, 10KV
2) The highest working temperature of the cable conductor:
XLPE insulation cable: 90°C
HDPE insulation cable: 75°C
3) During having a short circuit (lasting less than 5 seconds), the maximum temperature:
XLPE insulation cable: 250°C
HDPE insulation cable: 150°C
4) During laying the cable, the ambient temperature must be above -20°C.
5) Bending radius allowance of the cable:
A) 1 KV aerial insulation power cable;
It should be no less than 4D for the cable with outer diameter less than 25mm;
It should be no less than 4D for the cable with outer diameter of than 25mm;
B) 10KV aerial insulation power cable:
Single core cable: 20 (D+d) ±5% mm;
Multi-core cable: 15(D+d) ± 5% mm;
Formula inside: D-Actual cable outer diameter;
d-Actual conductor outer diameter.
